CLUNK Right Front - when accelerating V70-XC70

When accelerating from a stop - hear and feel a 'clunk' under passengers side floor - changed top engine mount - no change.

Thinking - lower mount - torque mount - sub frame bushings or A frame bolts?

Car does not pull to right or left so that is OK

Ideas?

What year and mileage does your vehicle have?

Check the control arms. Their bushings perish. Many prefer the polyurethane replacement bushings.
You needn't fear the "poly = hard ride" warning as it doesn't apply here.

Absolutely check the ARB links (aka roll bar links / drop links) but while you're down there check the condition of the rubber cushions where the roll bar is attached to the frame. Those can perish too.

It ended up being the front BALL JOINT - solved the problem

Check the CV joint V70-XC70

Definitely check the mounts and other possibilities mentioned. Also could be a bad CV joint - Usually they make a clicking noise when bad but they can also knock or clunk.

Yes you can check all of those. Add ARB drop link to the list.

ARB = Anti Roll Bar.
