My '05 XC70 windshield washer tank seems to have sprung a new leak. It does not hold much fluid. I am looking for a way to fix the leak and avoid buying and installing a new reservoir. Is this a common issue? I am not sure if the leak is at a seam or seal or if the tank somehow was punctured. Any thoughts?

    Have you actually found the leak in the tank/bottle? Check all of the hoses. I believe that that the small ones to the headlight washers can go bad and drain your tank. Perhaps someone could confirm that.

    After a run-in with a deer a few years ago my WW reservoir started leaking at the seam that joins the top half with the bottom half. I grabbed one at the pick and pull for just a few bucks. And that was WITH pumps.

    After an off-road excursion, the reservoir in my Honda Odyssey had a leak. As it's a rather expensive item, it was cleaned, dried, and some glue applied to the hole. I used some of a tube of a Loctite "Extreme" Gel product (think thick super glue). That fix has lasted for over two years so far.
