Repaired head now ecm-641a exhaust cam sensor error V70-XC70 2004

ECM-641A error:Camshaft control exhaust: Faulty signal.
Checked cam alignment & connections, all ok. Removed vvt solenoid & applied 12v , piston clicks. Cleaned oil passages & gasket under solenoid. Checking data stream shows: Exhaust camshaft reset valve 80%. Does this mean that the solenoid is faulty?

    Might be. The VVT solenoid runs under oil pressure, so make sure your oil is clean and topped up before buying a new solenoid.

    Keeping it running is better than buying new
