That’s great news. Thanks for reporting back here. The last time I spoke with Axles Unlimited was a couple years ago (I think his name was Dave) he said they were having trouble getting the Volvo/GKN parts. Glad to hear that issue must have been resolved.

Is it all back together? Driving smoothly?

I had good luck with cheapo chinese drive-axles.
Replace the tranny seal while your at it.
Think also about changing out your hub/wheel bearing if it's got 200K/miles.
Avoid crap Chinese hubs, shop for the OEM quality hub/ FAG
New FAG hubs on the front changed my around town gas mileage from 17-18 mpg to
21+. When you change out a front hub get new bolts. You need a special E socket head for them, and they don't come out easily.

You should do better and respond to the brickies trying to help you.
Leave reports of what works and what doesn't to help the next guy.

    Cheers, Crabby

do a google search for "Volvo v70 8111305" and take a look. Correct, the dealers no longer carry it, but FCP and others do - for a $450 price tag. Sounds a little steep for me. I would be looking for one in the $150 range. Be careful, those cheap things from the Pacific will need replacing within a year, plus they don't fit correctly and probably don't come with a new axle nut.

If it is just a torn boot, get a kit and replace the boot with new grease. Messy, but a reasonable alternative.
