Software updates S70 1999

My ‘99 S70 is running well but the transmission shifting points are kind of off. A friend suggested I may need the software update for the etm.
Does anyone know how that works? Thanks!

    ETM is the throttle. TCU is the transmission computer. There were no 'software' updates for the tranny, as far as I know.

    You might want to manually flush the transmission fluid, or empty the tranny sump two or three times. You could also use Mobile 1 ATF, a synthetic, rather than the DEX.
