I recently bought a 2008 S60 and would like to locate a set of original owners manuals for the car. Does anyone happen to have a set they would part with? Also the car's message centre was set up in French and I have looked for a way to change it to English. It seems so far that I have to take it to a Volvo dealer. So I did that and they wanted $250 for the service. I don't think so. Before I enrol in French lessons does anyone know a work around??

Long ago, I called the Volvo 800 number and asked for a paper manual.
Sent to me free! Normal charge is around $25.

As for changing the language to English from French, ask Volvo while you re on the 800 number. Let them know that the dealer wants $250 for the "service"

Thanks for the suggestions so far. I have the link to the owner's manual but I would like to get an original paper copy. I'll contact Volvo. On the cost for language change, I was told this was a fee charged by Volvo Canada, not the local dealer. I'll continue to work on that.

Volvo has their owners manuals available online (along with sales brochures, Nav system instructions, service schedules, etc. Easy google search or: https://volvo.custhelp.com/app/manuals/OwnersManual/om_id/378

They also have an app that's quite handy for the manuals, however I have found that not all models are supported.

As for the owners manual question--if no BB'er responds. Years ago I found a company located in the USA (midwest somewhere) that specialized in them--at the time $10 each. Sorry, too long ago for me to remember the name. Another path would be the scrap yards or "U-pull it" yards. I visit a chain (Pull-a-Part) with a facility near my daughter in Winston-Salem, NC. I often find manuals in the glove boxes at a price of $5 each. - Dave
