Got Wheels (not a question) V70-XC70

A snow tire's leaking valve and totally rusted wheel weight clips necessitated a trip to my favored tire shop for complete remounting/rebalancing.

The shop's owner said, "Just take these wheels a customer dropped off for disposal. They're going to recycling."

They matched my steel wheels. They were for an earlier Volvo than the P2. The snows which were on the used set I bought are 215-55-16 and rub a bit at lock.
I failed to ask what Volvo these wheels were originally on. That was 9 years ago.
However, those 4 mounted snows were the best $200 I've ever spent-even if they were a tad wide.
I've been prompt with removing them when the roads clear.

Since this is the last season for the aging Vikings (Norway) I want to get a set of Lysithia (15") wheels for 195 or 185 series snow tires, not 215's.

4 steel wheels just for showing up! Not bad.

Got Wheels (not a question) V70-XC70

I've been searching the forum for info on wheel sizes with little luck -- I want to get a second set of wheels for winter tires for my 2002 XC70, and I want to be able to run skinny tall tires. The summer tires on the car are 225-60/16, I'd like to go to a 65 or 70 section tire. Can I put a 15 inch wheel on this car?

The Lysithea wheel is good looking for sure.

Years ago I had access to some snow tires that happened to be mounted on 15" steel wheels from a Volvo 140. I was thrilled to find they fit on the 850 I was driving at the time. Front brake caliper clearance was super close, maybe 0.1" or less than 2mm.

I have a set of 16" steelies for an 850. Just a few bits of rust and no rubber. I don't know what to do with them as I don't drive the 1995 during the salt months (Dec-Apr).

You are correct with the 185/195 tires, better snow traction but a little slippery in the wet. Make sure the 15's fir over the caliper.

Keeping it running is better than buying new
