loss of power on acceleration. V50

I have a non turbo 2007 v50 with 161,000 miles. Presently it acts like it is missing on acceleration or a hill climb. I can maybe describe it as a chattering feel and loss of power on acceleration. What can It be? coils? break in vacuum? could it be a timing issues? I just had the timing belt replaced. Any ideas?

Timing is computer controlled and if it 'off' then you would have a check engine light.

Look for vacuum leaks. How is your MPG? How about spark plugs?

plugs are new and timing belt are new. MPG is bad. where might I look for vacuum leak? could a poor seal on the gas cap create a vacuum issue? but that too would cause the check engine light to come on.

Intake manifold vacuum, not gas fume vacuum. You are looking for unmetered air entering the intake manifold, so the small vacuum lines on the front of the manifold, a loose air intake line after the air filter. If you have a turbo, check the 4 vacuum lines around the boost controller.
