Climate fan not working. No AC or heat V70-XC70 1998

I posted a few days ago because I thought my daughter’s air-conditioning had a leak. That’s what she told me. I am at the car now, and finding that it’s the fan that’s not at all working. Turning on the ignition shows the lights on the automatic climate control system flashing, and there is no fan response, Either in auto setting or if I manually work the fan. So I can’t tell really if there’s air-conditioning coolant or not. Is there a fuse for the fan specifically? I see a fuse in the main fuse box number 4 for the AC compressor, but I don’t think that’s it. I see One for the AC relay emission system. Number five, a 10 amp fuse in the main fuse box, And I see a climate control, diagnostic 15 amp fuse, number five in the regular fuse box. I’m not seeing any other possibilities.

Ahh, the blinking lights of death. You need to make a code reader to figure out what is actually wrong. Using 3 wires, 3 large paper clips, and a test light, make your own code reader to find the code that will determine your action.

The first page of the following link shows the basic wiring diagram needed to retrieve the codes from the ECC. Just like the OBD-I system would on the 1993-1995 850's. Except, use #5 and #6, not #3.

If you slide the blower speed all the way to the right, max, does the blower work? If yes, then the rehostat is probably the problem.

Some times, the in dash cabin temperature sensor gets clogged up and will cause a code. Just vacuum out the small grill which is in the right most position of the switches in the dash, next to the ECC unit.
