Spare key for 2004 v70 V70-XC70

Is there anyway to avoid dealer extortion prices on obtaining a spare key. I only have one key st this time.

A seemingly respectable used car dealer in Rockland Co. NY mentioned "Captain Car Key" to me. It looked like a local franchise when I looked it up a while back. Maybe there's one near you?

I have no first hand experience.

As far as I know the dealer is the only route. That’s why it’s so important to get two keys when you purchase a used car. If the seller can only offer one key it needs to be taken into consideration in the sales price.
