I have two XC70s, an '05 and an '06 so basically they are identical.

On both cars, I did the PCV replacement and pulled down the oil pan, cleaned everything as a whistle and re-assembled the whole thing.

Now, since I could only do the job during the week-ends, the first weekend I removed the oil sump and let the cars drain the oil for the whole week.

When I was done, I poured 5.85L of Castrol Edge Synthetic and the level of the dip stick indicates that the oil level is at the minimum.

Is it normal that you need more than 7L when you remove the oil sump?
