What to do about a leaky turbo unit? S40-V40

I've just come to find out that I have a leaky turbo which is causing coolant loss and a slow rate....

What can I do about this? It's probably the seals on it or something? Can it be serviced, or is it a whole-unit kind of swap. If it's a swap, I imagine it's quite an expensive part or job? Any DYI solutions?

Thanks.

Usually it is the seal on the coolant pipe that goes into the turbo. Working upside down and backwards is the only real challenge.

They sell kits to rebuilt the turbos, you tube is your best friend here.

You can buy another turbo and replace yours but check the leak first it might be the coolant line or hose and not the turbo.

Many years ago when I had a 760, I had the turbo rebuilt by a place that did only large diesel trucks, the guy said it was a piece of cake.
