Just bought today has 100k. I put on about 150 miles traveling home. No problems
Transmission shifts a lot different than my 06xc70. I believe it is 6 speed and probably I will have to get used to it.
The last few miles home I accelerated from 30to 70 and the transmission could not make up it’s mind what gear to go in almost like I was putting on the brake at the same time.
I would be greatful of any imput

Your car needs to 'learn' your driving habits. Sounds like the way I drive compared to my wife. I ease the gas pedal, my wife floors it. I seldom go to the floor. When I drive my wife's car, I cannot modulate the speed during acceleration, but the 0-60 speed is great.

In your case, it appears to be the on ramp problem. Instead of 'flooring' it, try to slowly depress the pedal - a 5 second count from 30mph to 'floored'.

Or, you could disconnect the battery for 10-15 minutes, hope that the TCU memory gets erased, and the 'learning' process starts from the beginning.

Or, simply drive the car and it will begin the slow process of learning your habits.

Yes, you do have a 6 speed.

Krause i’m Not familiar what tru memory. I know I am going from 06 xc70 5 cylinder 5 speed to 6cy
6speed.
Most of the stations were programmed on classical stations maybe I better listen and my driving habits will solve my problem.)
After 2 days I have been driving locally which is the majority of my driving and all is well.
No check engine light so I hope that means the car does not need a engine control module

I know that there was a recall but had to do with stalling not shifting problems.
Any imput on my new to me 7th Volvo in a row would be appreciated

Check the oil level first, not sure if it has a deep stick!

Any codes on the car it seems strange that behavior even for 6 speed trans, the oil might need to be change at that mileage.

No check engine light on
No leaks
Shifts fine till I accelerate from 30 to 70 . 45 degrees out
I will check the tach when I duplicate my problem tomorrow maybethat info might have some bearing on the problem.
