I hate to ask about noises since they really need to be heard in order to diagnose but on the chance it might be a known condition I will ask about this.

Recently, I started hearing a sound when driving. It is a fast, repetitive clicking when the car is in motion. Think 'Wheel of Fortune' noise if you can relate to that. It's constant but faint. It speeds up and slows down with the speed of the car so I think it must be a wheel noise. I would guess it's coming from the right front but noises can be deceptive. If I roll down the window the road noise and wind noise all but drown it out.

Any ideas on what this could be?

Jack the car up and spin each wheel by hand to see if it is a wheel problem.

Or -

Find a shop that has a set of Chassis Ears - microphones that stick under the car to locate noises

Year is 2015 as stated in the signature line. Mileage 43.5k.

I wondered about the CV joint. But at this mileage?

Normally CV joint clicking is heard when turning not going straight ahead.

Is the car still under warranty?

I seem to recall that from an Austin America I owned decades ago. This noise is definitely heard while going straight ahead.

Yes the car is still under warranty so hopefully the repair will be covered. Just trying to get an idea of what I am dealing with though.

Perhaps a screw in the tire is clicking away on the pavement.

I’d start simple. Check your brakes to make sure something isn’t a little out of place and rubbing. Or perhaps something caught in your alloy wheel??
