Shifter rattle XC90 2008

2008 XC90, 137,000 miles.
There is a rattle that sounds like it is internal to the shifter knob. Stops if I hold it or move it to manual. Anyone fixed this before?

I would check the motor mounts, especially the upper one.

Does the rattle come from the trigger or the stem of the shifter?

Comes from the stem (seems like the spring behind the trigger). All motor
mounts are good.
