2004 V70 Side Marker lights not working V70-XC70

Hey Guys, here is another of my V70 lighting issue. I noticed the side marker lights are not turning on, no power to the bulbs on neither side.

I checked the fuse box and found Fuse #2 (20 Amp) was missing and it is labeled Aux Lights, so I inserted a 20 Amp from the Spare Fuse population. Still no power to the side markers but the Headlight turning on and off on the passenger side seems to have miraculously vanished.

The side markers still have no power to the connectors on the Port and Starboard sides of the vehicle. Yes, the headlight switch is in the On Position. More weird Volvo electrical problems.

Any suggestions ?

The side marker lights are supposed to plug into the parking/turn signal harness, they are not separately fused.

Keeping it running is better than buying new

I think I need a Bentley's unless you can point me at a PDF or similar. I can read schematics, wiring and decipher logic circuits. I am hoping this is a physical problem with a connector or switch, I doubt it has anything to do with the Headlamp Switch since the Parking Lights come on.

Unless you know of a snapshot of where for me to look for that connector, I wouldn't know what I am looking at, this is my first V70. I have only had it for a month and got it for 1000.00 with 205K in near perfect condition. And the 5 Cylinder motor makes a big difference over the B230s plus the V70 weighs less, I assume it does anyways. The motor is fine and no glitches or misalignment in the drive train, steering braking or suspension. I have two rear Bilsteins ready to go in the next couple of weeks. This is a nice Volvo.

You are one of the gurus on here, and Chris too. I remember you guys from the RWD Forums.

Thanks you guys are great.

Rich, thanks for the kind words.

"...I think I need a Bentley's unless you can point me at a PDF or similar...."

Here's a bunch of Volvo wiring diagrams. If you can't find 2004 you might have to use 2003 and 2005 and flip a coin.

Haynes also has a wiring diagram that looks somewhat different. The message may be the same but the presentation is different.

My attempt at uploading a scan:

New bulbs from O'Reilly's. Of course it was the first place I went.
