Chec engine ight V70-XC70

Xc70 2006 130k check engine light
Code614b exhaust cam shaft reset valve
Poo27 exhaust valve control solenoid circuit low
Test drove vvt valve not responding to command
Oil was 1and a 1/2 down during scan
Light came on after reset next day. Reset next morning
26 miles driven (20 on highway)
Next day light is on again
My state emissions test is not showing any codes but states the obd is not ready to be tested
Should I drive more miles after rescanning and clearing the codes?
Thanks for your Imput and happy new year
Pete

Where would the oil go?
Is 50 highway miles enough to set the ox sensors in ready mode
Thanks again

Do a search under drive cycle for your car, Volvo's are some what difficult when it comes to getting all the monitors ready.

Treat the car like a taxi and it might be good for the monitors, do check the drive cycle for your car.

If you were down 1.5 quarts, you probably starved the VVT solenoid and caused the code. You need to find out where the oil went.

20 miles will not be enough to set the O2 sensors in ready mode for testing.

Keeping it running is better than buying new
