2010 XC60 Audio issues V70-XC70

Hello.
Have a 2010 XC60, 103k on the odometer. Last week the radio died unexpectedly.
I have checked every possible (and impossible) fuse under the hood, under the glove compartment and in the trunk area. Nothing has blown.
Took the battery cable off as well, to see if something would reset, but didn't help either.
When pressing the volume knob to turn on the radio, the little screen on top of the dash turns on momentarily with a "High performance sound", or something like that and then blanks. None of the buttons works (FM,AM,CD etc etc). Does not find Bluetooth either for the phone.
Wondering if anyone has had issues like this with their car?
Thanks,
Rolf

The dealer does have software updates, you might want to check with them.

Just got the word from the dealer. The audio unit is fried (or some parts of it).
A new one is $716 plus another $87 for a new software package, plus installation. All together $1016, plus tax...:(
OUCH...
