HVAC Fan woes - it doesn't run V70-XC70 2008

A couple of days ago, the fan in our '08 XC70 would not run.

I can hear things operate in the dash when I try auto, defrost, or heat.

The owners manual shows a circuit breaker under part of the fuse box but warns that a technician should remove it.

Any advice?

    Thanks for the support guys.

We happen to have Minnesota weather this week, but I fancy that I will get out today in the teens to try a reset and look around for damage.

For Klaus - my daughter lives in MN and had -44 wind chill the other day - I don't know how you guys can enjoy that!

Wind chill is for city whimps. Us real northerners respond to the actual temperature, I prefer to stay indoors when the temp gets below -15F. Of course, up north in MN, they say the same thing when it gets -20F or so.

This is why Volvos have heated seats!

We should get to +20F by next Saturday, bring out the shorts and flip flops!!

    Hi James,

    Long time no see!

Try to reset that breaker first.
As Klaus hints, don't let the operator manual give you wet feet.
I hope that you have a nice heated garage now so you don't freeze
    any of your tender parts!

    Happy new year, Bill
