Headlight adjustment V50 2009

For a 2009 V50 non turbo what do the headlight aiming adjusters look like and where are they? Are special tools required?

How are you going to aim the lights?

I have seen a few of dangerous ideas on the web.

You need a level place near a wall - pull up very close to the wall (a couple of feet) and mark the bright spot of each light - then back up 30 feet and adjust the bright spots so that they are BELOW the marks.

It is illegal to have headlights that aim upward as you will blind other drivers, even on low beams. Worst case scenario is that, blinded, they then run into you!

Of course, having a Volvo tech adjust them should give you the best legal light.

Do you have HID or xenon lights? The xenon need to be 'programmed'. The HID have adjustment knobs hidden under the white plastic disks.

Of course, the dealers have no idea how to adjust the xenon...
