Headlight Bulbs/XC60

Hi,
I just recently had a low beam bulb fail on the XC60 so stopped by the dealer. Big sticker shock!! $225 for a headlight bulb?? Anyone have a source for affordable bulbs? I called IPD but they said the dealer is about the only option.

I guess if they both burn out at once, your car is totaled!

We have come a LONG way since sealed beams - are today's lights that much better?

This spring, I got a '54 chevy - someday I might have to make it my daily driver!

The car is a 2012 XC60R.....maybe the the best Volvo I`ve ever owned/driven. The lights on this car are the best of any Volvo I`ve owned & at that price, guess they should be!!
Still can`t believe Volvo dealer is charging that much for a bulb.

What kind of headlights do you have? HID or xenon? Bending lights? I forgot what year your XC60R is...

this inquiry reminded me of a recent conversation with my son (BMW and Mini tech) regarding the headlights on his BMW--mentioned dealer price of $300 but found it at Advance for $100. Worth looking into. -- Dave

WHAT?!?!

If your car takes H7 or H11 just go to the nearest Autozone or whatever local local auto parts store you have near you. Owners manual will specify.

$225? Are you sure they aren’t quoting a complete headlight assembly?
