Heater core to heater pipes screw/bolt and random vac line V70-XC70 1998

I have the V70 mostly back together but...

The heater coupling, new hoses and new core are finally in. Went to attach the AL pipes to the core and none of the "leftover" fasteners I have seem to do the job. I m 99% sure it should be the T25 screw but it won't bite. So wrong fastener or am I just not getting them pulled together enough for it to engage?

After the PCV service I have one vac line that cannot seem to find a home. White plastic line with a 90 degree elbow that is attached to the coolant pipe behind the block. Ideas?

I am beginning to hate this car. The vac line thing was a fiasco because all the colored dots on the TCV (?) were not present so I had to rewatch a video about three times. The Volvo branded firewall heater hose coupler I got had the notch cut on the wrong side. I just hate working on a car I do not know without the factory service manuals. I can do it but it quadruples the time. For example can do a red block water pump on the shoulder of the Dan Ryan Expressway in about 35 minutes in the rain.

There is no vacuum line to the coolant lines, to the best of my knowledge. No reason to have one. Check out these photos and let me know if it helps:

As for the heater core, are the other torx screws in place holding the heater core? I suggest removing those screws, connecting the pipes, and then put the mounting screws back in.

I can change the heater blower in less than 1 hour, try that with a 240.

    PS.
My brother doesn't like the Dan Ryan. He spun on snow back in the old days, crossed all four lanes of south bound traffic (he had been going north) and would up in the ditch. All was well, he drove back on the road and made a U turn using the next exit. Exciting!
His next trip was in a 63 Corvair. He managed to come to a sudden stop, but needed another 1/2 inch. The Cadillac bumper touched and broke all 4 headlight lenses. No other damage!

Looks like the fuel pressure regulator...it is strapped to, not connected to...that rear coolant line. So now I have to figure out what the other random line is.

940 blower motor change is a breeze, FYI.

I love this kit from IPD. It takes all of the guess work out of replacing the TCV lines:

        https://www.ipdusa.com/products/10479/122040-tcv-silicone-hose-kit

I have some colored electrical tape that I had initially wrapped around the original vacuum lines, which helped.

Of course, the long black line from the BOV to the intake manifold is the real knuckle killer, and is not included in the above kit.

You could get about 7 feet of this for the other lines that are degrading:

        On sale at $1.36/foot
