Rear tailgate button V70-XC70 2000

Hello All,

Just picked up this lovely wagon. I noticed a little disk that looks like a button, hidden behind a little door.

What is it, and how does it work?

Thanks,
gd

Might this be a lock that is blanked off?

I have used loaner cars that had only one lock on the driver's door, the passenger door and tailgate locks were blanked off.

Pay extra for more door locks.

Sorry for the vauge question! After too much Google time.... I found that it's a cylinder delete. There is no lock behind the little door where the lock would be.

Good thing I was able to program the key fob!

      Thanks again,

      gd

Can you determine if it is a pull or push arrangement? A picture might even be useful. Could it be just a simple piece of trim to cover a screw? Access port for a bulb holder?
