XC70 2006 PCV Replacement V70-XC70 2006

Hi there,

When I took the car to the dealer for the annual inspection, they recommended to change the PCV breather hose (P/N 8692217).

I purchased the hose but I cannot find a tutorial for this car that could guide me through the replacement process, not even on VIDA.

Does anybody know how to do this job on an XC70 ?

Perhaps Alldatadiy or Mitchell 1 DIY have a guide?

Thank you!
Alex

That looks like the hose that runs from the oil separator box, between two of the intake manifold runners, and up to the top of the engine. They're known for splitting open so the replacement part is slightly redesigned.

You will probably want, or need, to remove the turbo duct that runs over the top of the engine to give yourself some working room. The plastic cover on top of the engine needs to come off. The intake duct from the intercooler the throttle body needs to come off also - (4) 10mm hex heads attach the throttle body to the intake manifold. It may need cleaning by now anyway. The old hose will have an oetiker clamp at each each end that can be pried open with a screwdriver. The new hose can be held on with regular hose clamps.

This guy on Youtube replaces it without removing hardly anything:
