Air conditioner starts automatically S60

2014 S60. Very hot weather but I have the fan and AC units off. All of sudden the fan starts on high along with the air conditioner. It has happened several times already and of course the local Volvo dealer cannot duplicate the problem. Any ideas?

One of the new car features monitors the high pressure side of the AC. If it gets too high, it starts up. Remember, R143a expands a lot with heat.

If it gets too low, your car may go into "limp home mode". Dumb engineering.
