I think maybe we just buy the whole strut nowadays. The struts look rusty so I suppose the spring purches might fail or other issues.

Actually i see tasca sells a STRUT - so that must be the whole magilla. Not even possible to buy the hydrolic (or gas) shock thingy.

    Correct, the shock is not sold separately. If you replace the strut, make sure you buy a spring seat for an XC90. The 850 spring seats are too soft and break easily.
