99 v70 Heated O2

I get a CEL indicating Heated O2 not working. I removed the O2 sensor and found an open circut across the heater wires. If I jiggled the wires where they enter the sensor I could get a random and intermittent Ohm Reading. I bought a new sensor with the proper reading, but I still have the same CEL Code even after replacement. Any Idea?

Did you clear the O2 code? If not, it could take a couple of cycles to go out on its own.

I hope you bought a plug compatible O2 sensor.

Volvo O2 sensor, same Part #, I cleared the code by disconnecting the Bat, It was off for about 5 miles, came back on same code P0135. The other Sensor was clearly bad, but this one tests out OK.

I know this isn't fun, but you might want to spray the plug connectors with a cleaner and ensure that the male pins haven't retracted. Measuring the resistance between the 2 black wires should result in less than 2 Ohms but not zero. If it is greater than 2 Ohms, send it back and get a replacement.

There can be a lot of sand, grit on the connector that needs to be carefully cleaned off.
