2014 T6 engine V70-XC70

I am interested in a 2014 XC60 with about 50 K miles. It's loaded with the features I want. Price is getting closer to what I would pay.

My concern is the T6 engine in 2014 is (I believe )the first year they used
a supercharger and turbocharge together. 306HP linked to an 8 spd transmission.

It is a lease car my neighbor(women) turned back to the dealer for a new lease...
Car is quite quick and drive /handles well.....

No problems reported while she had the car.

What do we know about the engine reliability and the need for the
VOLVO certified extended warranty ($2K good to 100K miles)

Any comments on the XC60 in general are welcome... giving up a V70)

It seems a bit tighter inside than my old V70??

Thx.

I am surprised that you cannot get it "CPO". My only concern is that the super charger has not proven itself over the long term. Go over the maintenance logs that the dealer has, carefully. Find out what kind of engine oil is used by them, some use a synthetic 'blend' because it is much cheaper than 100% synthetic. Any comments by the techs? Any software updates?

My wish is that Volvo not name their engines as T5 or T6 when is is actually a T4 or an ST4.

Thanks Klaus,
It is a CPO car....I may wait a year to see how that engine design matures.

A CPO implies a warranty to 100K and/or 6 years from first sale date. No need to "buy" anything else.

The engines vary, but have been out for 2 years already. Assume that the supercharger will work nicely for 100K miles. This isn't the "blower" of yesteryear, it is a low boost charging the system until the turbo kicks in. No more 'lag' and just a bit of more bhp.

"...No more 'lag' and just a bit of more bhp...."

And some pretty impressive highway MPG numbers, or so they are claiming.
