Pull tab on rear seat headrest broken XC90 2004

Part of the process for folding down the rear seat to expand cargo space involves a pull tab that allows the rear seat headrest to drop down so that the seat can fold up and fit behind the front seats. I pulled a little too hard and the tab broke off. Any idea how to fix? As always, thanks!

K, I am afraid you will have to visit a dealer for that part. The XC90's are not in the P&P's yet. Perhaps a pair of pliers will give you enough grip to pull on the remaining part.

I can't find a good explosion diagram for the second row headrest.

I may try to rig it. A plastic tab is what seems to have broken. Not sure what the insides look like yet. I'll post, I guess, if I succeed. Thanks!

I know it's not much of a consolation, but does your car have a button on the center dash, by the traction control, etc., that commands the head rests to flip down?

No such button; just the tab. Guess I'm SOL. Thanks just the same!
