Volvo XC-70 Second Generation to Purchase S70 2002

22 June 2016
Greetings:

Prior Volvo Owner/Driver is seeking to purchase a well cared for and maintained XC-70, Second Generation, Cross Country Wagon for his personal use and enjoyment. I am neither a car re-seller, nor a mechanical repair shop. A manual gear box is preferred and exterior color in of lesser importance to having good mechanics is fully functional condition. A "one owner" vehicle would be a definite plus.

Looking extensively in D. C., northern Virginia, Maryland, and southern Pennsylvania. However, will travel beyond that radius if the correct purchase opportunity may require such a trip.

My previous 1977 Volvo 244-DL was purchased new from the dealer's inventory and delivered 332 K miles of comfort in safety, taking me where I needed to be and return.

A personal message would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,
Webb

Lots of luck with that one! An XC with a MT will have to be a conversion from an auto box.

Hi and thanks -- You are telling me that all dealer delivered XC-70 's came exclusively with automatic transmissions. I could live with than, since there are to be no transmission conversions in my future. Webb

Did any of the v70R models come with a manual trans? They would have awd.

The majority of the V70R cars were special ordered, and they could have a clutch, at least up to 2004.

The newer cars do not have a clutch. They do have gear selectors.
