Diagnosing a bad front spring? V70-XC70 2001

It's possible, but I have not yet confirmed that my driver's front spring is either worn out or broken. All I can say is that the car handles normally, but that there's noticeable sag in the driver's front corner.

Peeking up there, I can see the spring, a best as I can tell, it looks okay. There's no noises or creaking in front when I drive, but clearly something is out of whack.

In searching the net, it looks as if springs are a common problem with the XCs - but most of those comments are about the 98-00 models. While the front suspension looks very similar to those earlier models, I'm not sure if those comments apply to the 01-07 design.

I've done this sort of replacement/repair on a 240, 940, and C70 so I've got the tools and skills, but this is my first P2 model car.

If it is the springs, aside from OEM, is there are particular good brand or brands to buy or stay away from? Prices range from the $60s to over $130 each. That's a lot of range for a spring.
