When I turn on A/C cold air blows out passenger and driver side vents and passenger side of center vent. Driver side of center vent blows out heat. Does this sound like a blend door problem?

Do you have MCC or ECC? If it is manual, then a cable may be messed up and off track.

If it is really hot outside, do you have the fresh air vent open at the dash?

If you have ECC, do the lights of death flash 20 times after engine start?

I think ECC (would they have ECC on base model) and the light on the
2 buttons do flash.

The ECC has temperature numbers on the dials and a variable speed setting. The blinking lights of death mean that there is a error 'somewhere'.

It is possible that the vent damper has a broken piece of plastic on it, allowing the damper motor to spin too far (error). It is repairable, but don't expect a Volvo garage to fix it for you - they don't know how. And they charge by the hour.

You will have to take off the glove box and kick panels and look around for yourself. It is a pain.
