Is it necessary to remove bottom half of the side Timing Belt cover in order to replace the TB? V50 2006

I have done a timing belt on an S70. I was able to do it because I found a good video. I need to
do the same now on a V50, but I can not find a video.
I am stuck trying to do a replacement of a timing belt on my 2006 V50. I have two questions, please.
1. Is it necessary to remove the bottom half of the two piece plastic side cover of the timing belt in order to replace the TB? It is no problem getting the top half up and out.
2. If the answer to #1 is yes, then do I have to remove the pulley to pull down and remove the bottom half of the TB cover?

Many Thanks for reading.
Mark

What bottom cover? There is only the small plastic dirt guard under the crank pulley that comes off with two 10mm bolts.

Once the top cover is removed (covering the belt), all of the belt should be visible and accessible. Removing the crank pulley should not be needed.

KlausC, Thanks a lot for taking the time. The side(front of engine) cover on the timing belt really does have an upper and lower part. There simply was no video I could find to help me work it out. This should have sent up flags for me, but it didn't. I went back and studied the problem and finally saw that it would be impossible to install the new TBelt with out removing both the nearby motor mount and the nearby Impulse Reducer. Since I don't have a second jack, I decided to call it quits. I buy many of my parts at FCPGroton.com. They verified that the story about the Motor Mount and IR is true.

I accept this as the answer to my problem. I made a big DIY mistake moving from the tried and true 850/S70 family to the V50. The V50 has a lot of good points, but is really sucks trying to work on it some times.
