Locks and keys

Aaaaarg. Just venting. My 92 960 wgn did it, my 2000 v70xc had it and now my 05 xc90 has it. The keys or the lock is wearing out and locking in place. How could they have not fixed this. My explorer and f150 didn't have this problem. I've never had this problem with another car except the Volvo's. I realize it's been fixed with the plastic key and non keyed doors but it's still frustrating that a company as good as Volvo couldn't have fixed it.

    Locks and keys

The spring on my 1967 122 was so strong that it would break the keys!

The newer cars have a locking pin that breaks off and gets lodged somewhere and now you can't turn the key!!

There are a bunch of youtube videos showing you how to get the metal out and 'fix' it.

Perhaps Volvo should have bought a bunch of GM ignition locks????

Keeping it running is better than buying new
