Transmission valve body swap 850 1993

I've been getting the dreaded 1-2-2 code, after which I've been draining the fluid and replacing, then resetting the fault code.
Sometimes it would work for a long time but the time has got shorter till I couldn't reset it.
I've gone through a huge amount of ATF.
I have a spare car which is a 95 model where mine is a 93.
I see a few differences but was hoping the valve body if swapped would work.
I have taken both valve bodies out and now read that the solenoids are different for these two models.
I'm wondering how different these throttle bodies are now.
Also wondering if I'll need to swap the transmission computer with the throttle body.
I'm guessing nobody will know the answer to these questions but if anyone does that'll be great.
I've managed to damage the gasket on the 93 valve body so inclined to just fit the whole 95 one and hope it works. Any ideas please?
Cheers,
Dan

The above for $129 + shipping.

I know, expensive and you have a donor car. Actually, the 1995 S1 should be the same as the 1993. Just test for resistance around 10-15 0hms.

One of the Brickboarders made a gasket rather than using the RTV junk.

Yeah I saved the original valve body and simply swapped the S1 solenoid. My old one read over 800ohms but the 95 model read 12ohms.
I should mention that I was going to use the centre gasket in the valve body as I had damaged mine.
Bad idea! When that thing comes apart there are things that go sproing and lots of little plastic balls in little compartments and three sitting on top. Never to be re-assembled by me I'm afraid.
So I carefully repaired the broken bits of gasket by cleaning and using a drop of CA glue. They went back nicely and once sitting between the plates should hopefully seal well enough.Otherwise if the pressure in there blows it apart I guess I'll be back to the drawing board.
Damn I should have left that valve body in place. I did it after talking to local Volvo repairers who said Volvo would not supply separate solenoids but would instead only supply a complete valve body. They also said swapping the solenoid may not fix the problem but having found mine so way out of spec I'm optimistic.
Will report results in a day or so.
Yes I've made a gasket too.
      Cheers,
      Dan

Just reporting mission successful, no leaks and works perfectly, hope it lasts a long time.
I found the job pretty difficult due to the limited space.
I cut a 3 inch extension,Α/8"drive] down to half lengthg for those pesky star drives between box and engine. The job was obviously designed to be done while the whole unit is on the bench which would be easy.
I made the gasket, buttered it up and placed it on the gearbox, then buttered the cover plate and wiggled it into place.
Getting the large nut for the top fluid tube loose was done with a 22mm open ender persuaded by a long pipe that went down against the ground in between the cross member and the front plastic under cover. This worked easily on both units that I dismantled.
