Driver's seat moves on its own! V50 2011

I have a friend who owns a 2011 V50 with an odd problem. Recently, while driving the seat has moved on its own a few times. She is not mechanically inclined. I don't know what to suggest. Could this be simply an electrical short? Any thoughts before she takes it to a mechanic? Thanks in advance for any thoughts/advice!

It moved back on the seat rail.

Purse was clear of controls. In center area.

I like the idea of adding a switch to shut off the seat controls!

One thing that she could have done is to interrupt the power to the adjusting switches with a switch added under the seat. She could turn the control switches on if she wants to move the seat, otherwise, leave the power off.

If her seat is like the 850 seats, that I put in my 544, there is a circuit board attached to the seat switches, but the whole assembly is powered by one wire. (plus a ground wire)

I actually did not put the controls into my 544 yet, I just plug the circuit into the seat and use a pair of wires connected to the battery if I want to move the seat!

Is it sliding back/forward, up/down, recline? Is your friend heavy and pushing the side bolster into the memory switches? How much does the seat move?

Where is the purse normally stashed?

A mechanic is going to have a hard time with this...
