A few S60 questions, your thoughts S60

Hello All, used to be a somewhat helpful figure in the RWD a while back, had a '94 960, which was salvaged just this September. Drove it a lot so I was out in front of many problems, now I am driving but 8-10k a year.

I have a 2008 S60 T2.5, not quite two years now, I do have a few questions, so I ask for all of your thoughts.

1. Why does this car have the turning radius of my old Chevy Suburban?
2. Has Volvo done anything new on adhesives for the interior of the car, things still sagging and puckering, mainly the the interior covers on the A pillars?
3. What is with the radio, reception is horrible, better question, where is the antenna, does it have one, should it have one, that might explain alot?
The radio also seems to have a mind of it's own, the station will change suddenly, but there is a pattern with this, only in the summer when the interior is hot.

Other than those items, it has been a solid car. Had some issues with the throttle body staying clean and throwing a code. Also had code for the exhaust cam, cleaned the oil sludge for the oil valve on the cam and that was all good.

Thanks in advance,
DanR

As for puckering, I have read that Volvo has tried to make their cars environmentally friendly - their glue uses milder chemicals and does not stick as well as more dangerous products.

This sometimes does not work, like the insulation on the wires in some 80s Volos.

Your car was designed for the highway, not parking lots! If you have the AWD version, welcome to the back up club - no way you can get into a stall on the first try. Volvo would have to change the suspension and steering geometry to make its cars turn like they should. Not enough complaints to Volvo? This has been going on since 1998.

Is the radio having problems with AM or FM? The AM antenna is inside the rear bumper, take off the cover for the left rear tail lights in the trunk and look down towards the bumper area and you should see a white plug for the antenna. Make sure it is connected.
The FM antenna is below the C pillar and there is a TSB for that:

scroll down to 'blazin bob' for the TSB:

If the radio is an HU850, don't feel lonely. There are a lot of garbage units in Volvos.

Keeping it running is better than buying new
