AC compressor bearing V70-XC70

My AC compressor bearing is shot, anyone know where to get a new one?
I tried bypassing the the AC with a smaller belt, but not enough grab on the alternator. It was only producing 11 Volts. I think the belt configuration also made the Alt. spin in the wrong direction.

Is it the clutch bearing or the compressor itself? "rhesper" a few posts down determined that it was the clutch bearing on his car.

If it is the clutch, that can be removed/replaced without removing the compressor and the R134a gas.

It is the Clutch bearing. I got the correct size belt to run without the AC, but the belt route does not make enough contact with the pulley, I get the charge light on intermittently.

I think that the IPD website has a diagram and a short belt designed for 5 cylinder engines that do not have AC. The alternator turns the same direction as with the regular belt.

I converted one of our 850s because I did not want to repair the AC, but did not want to risk a compressor failure.

My dealer's parts department could not get the correct belt - they thought they got a short belt, but it did not fit.

You could use the diagram and a rope to figure out how to get the right belt.
