I'm considering the purchase of an '07 S60 2.5t with auto tranny....any know issues with this model year? Was the auto tranny "flare" issue resolved by then? Thanks in advance!

    The tranny issue was resolved by 2003 in the FWD models. From what I've read and heard the 2003+ S60's are good cars.

      Excellent, thanks! Do you or anyone here knows if it's possible to track when Volvo fixed the issue and how...ie Volvo bulletin, specific auto tran serial numbers, etc?

        Don`t know anything about 2003+ S60`s but I do know that the "tranny flare" issue was still a problem in `03`s. Our `03 XC70 developed severe tranny flare last year & has since ben retired. Bought an `04 XC with 180K & so far, so good! Hopefully, this issue has been resolved!
