STALLING OUT AT TRAFFIC LIGHTS S70

Have a 98 S70 auto, 126000 milage, that is having a stall out problem at traffic lights. Have used Chevron fuel injector cleaner, a few times, and the problem persists. The car is also slugish on the highway, and shudders sometimes when gas is applied from a full stop. Does not seem to get up to highway speeds without hesitation either. What would I check first ? injector replacement? fuel pump? fuel pressure regulator? All ideas are welcome,
KLAUS are you out there?

thanks

STALLING OUT AT TRAFFIC LIGHTS S70

Dumb question, any CEL or trouble codes. Usually, these symptoms throw the light. Mike

You are probably getting enough fuel and not enough air. Is this a turbo? Is the air filter clean? Have you been using synthetic engine oil for 126K miles, if not then your pcv could be clogged. Along with a dirty throttle body.

The vacuum elbows are getting old, check them. Are the spark plugs clean?

Klaus, non turbo. I am putting in a tune up kit this weekend, plugs, rotor, cap, air filter, etc. Hopefully this will do the trick. and yes I have used synthetic since I haveownedit.

When did the car get a good tune up?
Look at the plugs, a good place to start.
Look around the ignition and wires at night when it's dark, see if there's
any corona. check for vacuum leaks and air leaks after the MAF, Look at your distributor cap etc....

Bill
