Bevel Gear/Angle gear fluid change V70-XC70

My wife's 2003 XC70 (120K miles) is running fine. I feel it is again time to
change the Angle gear fluid and after a fair bit of reading have the following
question:

-- is the term Angle gear and Bevel gear used interchangeably??
-- I want to change the oil in the fwd. transfer case (sends the power to the
rear differential/wheels). What Volvo Spec oil is used in this case??
Is the oil AWD, SAE 75W-90, API GL-5 Volvo P/N 31367237 ???

--Is the same spec oil used in the rear differential ??
Thx, Art

Personally, I'm using Amsoil Severe Gear 75W-90 as it is a better product in comparison to the Mobil 1 Product.

Bevel gear/angle gear/transfer case are all the same.

There is a procedure to drill out the bottom bolt of the bevel case and make it a drain hole - Volvo approved.

You can use the same SAE 75W-90, API GL-5 synthetic oil for the differential. I would get Mobil 1.

A bevel gear has teeth edges that when joined form a cone. The angle between the face of the cone and the axis of the gear is called the pitch angle and may lead some people to call it an "angle gear". That is a *guess*.
