drivers side seat belt catch replacement procedure.

I have a 2010 XC-60 which needs to have the driver side seat belt catch replaced. I have the new catch and the necessary tools but the clearance to fit a torx driver is too tight. Does the drivers seat have to be removed or simply unbolted and moved? What is the correct procedure?

Thanks in advance,
Dean

Without seeing the XC60, I would assume that unbolting the seat would give you plenty of room to access the Torx without unplugging the seat, just lift the rear of the seat. Finding the plug for the wires would be my next concern. I also wonder if you would need to disable the battery due to the SRS, probably not if the key is removed.

What we need is a Torx set similar to the old Allen wrenches, you know, with the 90 degree short end that can get into tight places and the long end to provide lots of torque.

I assume you've run the seat all the way forward. Have you also raised the seat all the way UP? (Not sure if this will work as I'm not at my car and I don't drive the "new" stuff anyway.)
