VIDA V70-XC70 2001

I recently took delivery of a 2 DVD set of the repair manual for my 2001 Volvo V70 T5. After loading the DVD, only the 2nd DVD would appear to give information regarding the wiring diagram of the vehicle. , The first DVD went through a lengthly and elaborate loading procedure which led me to the VOLVO web site with a log in and password-neither of which were provided by the person who sold me the 2 DVD's. This appears to be reputable when I purchased it. However, must I subscribe to VOLVO for the VIDA information to be unlocked from the DVD that I downloaded or can a reload cure this?
I purchased it from Amazon or Ebay for $12.99 His email is Dmaze4518@gmail.com and appeared to be reputable. However, I have not heard back from him on this issue. Has anyone out there purchased this? And can I access the information from the DVD without a subscription to VOLVO at one of their horrendously expensive rates? Thanks in Advance!
