Barestart - bypass sensors and ECU via OBD

Anyone heard of the bypass you can do by putting a wire between two of the OBD pinslots?
This turns off the computer parts of the car, ie no sensors, so you can set the car up mechanically and your sensors aren't adjusting your timing and instigating other non-existent failures.

That's a new one. How would you adjust the timing when there is no distributer? Again, how would you adjust the amount of fuel going through the injectors without a computer.

I put in a bypass for the SAS system, but that was in a 1996 and 1998.

There are intelligent OBD scanners that allow overrides to simulate different conditions, but those scanners are not cheap and a person really has to know what is going on.
