popping sound on turns after rear bushings replaced 850

Another problem, the mechanic repalaced both rear wheel bushings (he called them a camber bolt kit) now when I turn I hear a pop sound from the rear wheels, it happens when I turn left or right. any idea,

The mechanic broke the bushing when he was doing the alignment and I had to pay for it, I don't want to pay for anything else. I think if they break something the should pay for it...

The 850 rear suspension is unique, it allows the rear wheels to move direction and at higher cornering speeds effectively gives the car 'rear wheel steering'. Hearing a noise on slow turns means that the bushing is not doing its job and there is metal to metal contact, or the bushing support is loose.

This is a good thread to read:

Don't condemn the mechanic because something breaks.
Often times that can happen with the best of mechanics.

Listen to the mechanics explanation, and then decide if he's
for real or not.

Also, after replacing shocks a couple times now that were completly dead (the pistons had 0 gas left) I am replacing the shocks every few years now. They are cheap and easy to replace. Keeps everything else back there in good shape. The KYB gas adjust I have on now are what I will keep using. The bolt on the top doesn't spin and they ride a little firmer than the original.

Never heard of that bushing. The trailing arm bushing is about the only one anyone has to replace.......there are smaller bushings on the delta link arms.....maybe when he fixed one it is causing one he didn't to take more of the stress and make the noise. The trailing arm bushings (that bolt to the frame in front of the rear wheel will float and make banging noises on the frame when completely worn. You will also have the sensation the rear of the car is moving a bit. Maybe you could tell us exactly what bushings he replaced.

Ok...never replaced those. Have your trailing arm bushings checked.
