Clearning OBD code V70-XC70

I had O2 sensor replaced few days ago, After that my mechanic cleared OBD codes.
Now I'm failing the emission test because OBD has no information. How long do I have to drive my car to repopulate all information for OBD readout.

Clearning OBD code V70-XC70

Morning.

Per conversations in the past with Volvo techs. I could take up to 50 cycles. This means 50 start ups and drives of the vehicle. So, it depends on how much you drive.

Be careful using the code readers at the auto parts stores, many of the brands out there do not read Volvo codes properly and many of the guys behind the counters of these places have no clue on that. You will be able to get a limited amount of generic codes, but anything deeper will require a scan tool specific to Volvo. If you want such a scanner that I suggest looking at the scan tool that is sold by FCPEURO.com. I have one and it works as good as the VIDA/DICE units by Volvo themselves.

Any questions, drop me an email at rpiescik@weareoil.com .

That depends on the code(s). Some come back immediately, others take a month or two. In any case, the code refers to a problem that needs to be repaired. Defering maintenance will only make the problem worse in the long run.
