Transmission bolt size? S70

Hi Everyone,
I have a 1999 S70 GLT and want to change the transmission oil. My wife has the car and i have the sockets. I cant recall what size i should bring?

Does anyone know if its, say, 25mm?

Andrew

Search how to flush your transmission with the engine.
It does a better job than draining.
If it's cold where you are, keep the tranny fluid warm until using.
If it's cold, it pours very slowly.

Same size as oil pan socket. It also takes an aluminum crush washer like the oil drain.

Be sure to measure what drains out so you can fill it back up with the same amount.

Actually the transmission is different than the oil bolt. The oil is 17mm but the last time i looked at the transmission bolt the thing was much bigger.

Hi Everyone,

I just managed to find via youtube.com that the transmission bolt is 15/16 or 24mm.

Thank you for your posts,

Andrew
