Driver's window goes up, hits the top and goes down again. V70-XC70 2008

What needs to be fixed?

Alhtough this is annoying, I can live with it - I doubt if my wife can.

Your window travel limiter is off kilter. Newer cars, not necessary Volvo, just raise the window with the switch in the 'up slow' mode and after it reaches the top, let off the switch and then re-engage the switch in the slow mode and hold it up for a few seconds.

This works on our 2005 S80:

Locate the drivers window fuse inside the LH end of the dash board.

Start with the window in the UP position and the ignition key ON.

Engage the auto-down function with the window switch.

When the window is about half way down, pull the fuse out.

Leave the ignition ON.

Replace the fuse.

Engage the auto-up function with the switch but hold the switch in that position until the window hits the top and continue holding the switch in that position for an additional 5-7 seconds.

The window should now work properly.

How on Earth did you learn to do this procedure?
