Side Mirror Lens Falling Off - Can it be fixed? 850 1997

Hi,

I have a 1997 Volvo 850 T5. It has power/heated side mirrors. The lens on the passenger side is falling off. It's just hanging on by a thread it seems right now. Can that be snapped back on, or glued back on? I'm assuming the lens sits on the heating element, so not sure if gluing it will work? Do I just need to replace the entire mirror with heating element?

Thank you,

M

Since the lens was about to fall off I decided to go ahead and use some super glue placing it around the edges and re-fasten the lens. Seems to hold, but I haven't driven around yet. :) If it doesn't hold up, then I will see what others might suggest. If nothing works then I'm fine with just buying a new mirror.

Thanks.

Thanks for the info.

So far the crazy glue seems to be holding the mirror. I had to use the heat on them this morning, so far so good. Not sure if the heat will effect the crazy glue or not, but we'll see.

Cheers!

M
