Engine not starting!! 850 1994

Hi,

I have a problem. I was on the road and the engine just shut off while on idle. All light in the console were up but nothing on the accelerator. I put it on neutral and turn the ingnition key trying to restart the engine. It was like trying to start a car when line gas is frozen. The starter was turning but no fire except after 10 second... the engine was trying to start but nothing. By the way, the outside temp is: cloudy raining 15 degree celcius. After 5 try, the car start, then I engage the transmission and I drive for about 5 min to home. In this 5 minutes, I constantly had to keep the rpm at 2000 rpm and more to prevent the engine to stop. Now the car is at home and I really dont know what is going on. Other thing is that I got a check engine light code 1-2-3 (faulty or missing ect sensor). I did'nt have time to change the sensor yet but I dont think it's related. Anyone can help me fast ?

P.S. Since two weeks, I take my gas from Costo 91 octane. Also, I put injectors cleaner for about 3 weeks ago. My gas filter as been change in august 2000.

Thanks in advance for helping,

Bruno

Re: Engine not starting!! 850 1994

    Hi all,

I forgot something that might be important... When I mentioned that I keep the rpm at 2000, another thing happen. Even if I was keeping the engine at 2000 rpm, sometime the accelerator just stop responding and the rpm goes at 500... I had to push the accelerator and sometime it came back up sometime it just die...

    Thanks

    Bruno
